Today was going to be just one blog, called "End of The Month Report." But a lot of things happened today that made it a two-blog day.

So, this is how it will go: My first blog will be "Entering From Stage Right, Wednesday!" and blog #2 will be "End of The Month Report."

Blog #1: "Entering From Stage Right, Wednesday!"

Today was a interesting day. It began like any other day. I left at 7:15 A.M. I got to campus by 8 A.M. On my way to campus, a 18-wheeler tipped over on the highway near the Causeway exit toward Lakeside Mall on the other side, not my side, of the highway. I sat down and read "Rip Van Winkle" and "The Birthmark" from by Norton Anthology Short Story book. I went to my Major American Writers class at 9:00 A.M. The teacher lectured, the class took notes, and my day went off smoothly.

Biology time, and, Biology is boring overall. I did learn how to tell what is good to eat and about DNA/RNA. Then, after I ate some lunch, it was time for Biology Lab. Today we used test tubes to tell about the relationship of proteins and carbohydrates. After that, I had a coupon for a free sandwich at Chick-Fil-A, so, I used it, ate there, and went home.

At home, things get a little warmed up. Kristin comes online, and she instant messaged me. It began innocently, with me asking her where she's been and what has she been up to, and her replying that she was sick and couldn't make it to class on Wednesday. Then, everything shot up into the air. I asked an innocent question, "And how is your boyfriend?" She replied, "lol . . . he's fine." Usually, I ignore a laugh out loud, but, today, I couldn't. I asked her what the laughing was about, and she replied, "nothing, its a weird question."

I didn't think it was a weird question. She then said that she feels bad that she has a boyfriend because I "proclaimed my love for her." Proclaimed my love for her? What? I asked when was this and "Was I drunk?" because I also said that the Oakland Raiders will win the AFC West - and I was drunk. This is what happened next: she told me that we were just friends (I knew that) and she doesn't want to break my heart. Break my heart? How would you do that?

Anyway, she feels bad that, before I left, I gave her a $50 gift card to Old Navy and she never gave me anything when I was moving to Washington D.C. I told her I don't need anything, I have everything I want in the world. Kristin, may God bless her soul, thinks I like her in "that way." I don't. She's just a good friend. We then talked and laughed. It was like old times.

Blog #2 will be postponed until either tonight or tomorrow.

The Tuesday Express

It's Tuesday, and you know what that means! Actually, no, you don't know what that means. I don't even know what Tuesday means. Actually, Tuesday is three good things to me.

1) Mardi Gras (meaning "Fat Tuesday")
2) Good Luck and Prosperity (Wikipedia)
3) A day for progress and complete unfinished work. (Wikipedia).

Today, as well, you should know, is Tuesday, and tomorrow is the last day of January! To give you a taste of tomorrow's blog, I will write a new "End of The Month" Report of things I did in January. But, that's tomorrow. Today was an interesting day. I had a quiz in Conflict and Diplomacy class (Political Science Department) and I think I did very well. I got to campus at 8:00 A.M. I bought a Times-Picayune newspaper, read it, then studied for the quiz.

My Political Science class began with the professor going over Chapter 3 (Forgotten War I: Korea) and then we had our quiz on Chapters 1-3. It was just 9 questions and took me five minutes. After class, I went to the University Computer Center (UCC) and checked my e-mail. Just a couple of e-mails from a professor about our online Spanish Test 1 and an e-mail from US Airways. I bought a datebook from the bookstore to put down my test dates and homework due dates, because, without a datebook, I'd be a mess.

Economics class began at 12:30 P.M., and ended at 1:30 P.M., 15 minutes early. We went over Supply and Demand. It was quite good. I walked with a buddy of mine from the economics class to my class, and we talked about our high school days and how our grades were. I then had Math. They had a pop quiz on Thursday! My professor said that I can't make it up - it was a pop quiz, so, don't worry, just five points. We were to have a test on Thursday on Chapter 6, sections 1-4, but, because class was cancelled last Tuesday, the test has been moved to next Thursday. The class had a brief review of Section 6.3 and then we jumped into Section 6.4.

After class, I hopped into my car and drove home. Took about a half an hour. I got home, took my online test, read my e-mail, Deadspin, Kissing Suzy Kolber, and Dan Shanoff blogs (links to your left) and then ate dinner (meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn, and tomato soup). I then finished off my day with some oatmeal.

Currently, I'm on Yahoo Messenger, and Kristin is on, but I'm scared to instant message her. She'll instant message me one day. Even if she doesn't, it's no big deal.

Riding The Monday Wave

Monday, Monday, Monday! Nothing else to say about that. Let's get this blogging started!

I woke up late. My alarm went off at 6:30 A.M. My snooze hand put me in bed until 7 A.M. Knowing that my class isn't until 9:30 A.M., I showered, and took off at 7:30 A.M. from home. It's never fun to drive to class because of the traffic, but, you get by. I got to campus at 8:00 A.M. and walked over the University Center. A couple of minutes later, Shelly came, and she sat down at the table. We talked a little and then did our homework.

At 9:15 A.M., I told Shelly bye and walked over to the Education Building, 3rd Floor. Today, we had to read Rip Van Winkle. I read it twice. It's a good short story. At 10:45 A.M., I walked over to the old Business Building for my Biology class. Again, the class is boring. But, you do learn things about polysaccarides and other organisms in your food.

12:15 P.M. came, and I walked to the Long Library (Earl K. Long Library for those who must know). I got the dumb ass computer. The mouse had problems working, it kept cutting off, but, I got my work done. At 3:00 P.M., I had a meeting in which I am part of the Executive Board (I'm Secretary, a.k.a. the note-taker), and that is how I ended class.

At 4:30 P.M., I drove home, and got home by 5:00 P.M. I had some food, oatmeal, and am now doing this blog and editing some paperwork for tomorrow's math class.

Hopefully, tomorrow, I'll post in the evening, not at night. Nightime posting isn't fun. It's boring and a little weird.

A Sunday without football . . . isn't a Sunday after all

*sigh* My first Sunday without professional football. It was hard, so so hard. I'm not used to it, but I have to get used to the fact that the next two weeks, Super Bowl XLI and the Pro Bowl will be the last two professional football games I watch for six months!

So, what else is there to watch?

1) Women's Basketball (WNBA or College): Unless it's the NCAA tournament, I'm not watching it.
2) Men's Basketball (NBA or College): Will follow every minute of it.
3) Hockey (NHL or College): Are you kidding me?
4) Arena Football: I will be watching for my New Orleans VooDoo. New Orleans hosts the Arena Bowl this year!
5) Baseball (MLB or College): MLB somewhat, college somewhat.

I'm going to miss the NFL. But, there is Arena Football. Something to look forward to is the Scouting Combine, the workouts, and the draft.

Ahh . . . memories of the New Orleans Saints *sigh*

Combo Blog: Friday Night and Saturday (January 26-27)

Last night, I didn't post. Why? CSI: Miami! Every Friday night, CSI: Miami is on for 5 STRAIGHT HOURS! How coiuld I say no? So, I didn't post. . . my apologizes.

After my meeting, I went for a walk. I was going down a small street that ended up turning into Williams Boulevard, which was SCARY, because I didn't know that the street I was walking down turned into the second biggest street within Kenner (West Esplanade Avenue being the biggest because it begins in Metairie and stretches to Kenner). After walking, I came home and made dinner for the family. Made some chicken and rice. After that, I sat down, and CSI: Miami came on. I couldn't stop watching.

I overslept this morning. My alarm was 8: 00 A.M., but I got up at 9:30 A.M. I made some breakfast and then turned to A&E, where I watched "Airline" and am now watching "King of Cars." The rain is coming down badly, so, my backyard is flooded.

I'm off to figure out what to do before my battery on this laptop dies.

Celebrate, It's Friday!

A spectacular Friday morning to you. Currently, it's sunny here in Kenner, Louisiana, but the temperature is 45 degrees. 45! My feet are cold. With no class today (Yay!), I decided to begin my day by checking my e-mail, and finding out that my US Airways Dividend Miles are close to expiring. I haven't flown on US Airways since it was America West-US Airways back in October of 2005. I flew from Houston to Seattle via Las Vegas and from Seattle to Washington-Reagan National via Las Vegas.

Anyway, last night, I watched CSI: Las Vegas. Now that's a good show! Monday night is CSI: Miami, and Thursday night is CSI: Las Vegas. "SportsCenter" is on, and I'm watching it as I write this blog. It's hard to live in a new television group center when you've lived the last 5 1/2 months in a television group center. I lived for 5 1/2 months in zip code 22041. I had the same cable company in Virginia that I have here, Cox Communications, but television is different. Example: ESPN on my television in Virginia was channel 56. Here, it's 35.

Currently, I'm watching "Frasier" on Lifetime. Today, this is my schedule: I have a meeting today from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. not far from my home. After that, there are many things I could do - walk again, watch ESPN, or do something else that I haven't even thought of yet.

Thursday Feels Like Friday

It's Thursday night and my week of classes is done until next week, when I'm back on campus beginning Monday. I got up a little late this morning (6:40 A.M.) and left home around 7:15 A.M. I got into a little traffic in Metairie, but, there's traffic there every morning, so you get used to it. I got to campus at 7:50 A.M., and immediately went to the University Center to read the newspaper, my book for Political Science, and do my Math homework.

Someone left their Times-Picayune on the table next to me, so, I read it and then put it back on the table for someone else to read. Had myself a Nutri-Grain Bar and some water. Then, I read about the Korean War in my Conflict and Resolution Book, "Why Nations Go To War." I then went to class, where our professor went over the notes for Chapter 2 (World War II) and told us there's a quiz Monday on Chapter 1 (World War I and The Iron Dice), Chapter 2 (World War II and Operation Barbarossa) and Chapter 3 (Korean War and Aftermath).

After that class, I went back to the University Center for a small lunch and to finish some Math problems. But, uh oh, I forgot my Math notebook WITH MY HOMEWORK IN IT! Never fear, skipping class is here! After deciding that skipping class was the best idea, I went to the Computer Lab in my next class building, BellSouth Kirschman Hall. After the lab, I went down to my Macroeconomics Class on the first floor of the hall. The professor will now take roll beginning Tuesday's class, so, if you didn't skip by then, you never will, unless a friend will sign your name.

Instead of going to my Math class, I shot the breeze for five minutes, then hopped in my car and drove down Lake Pontratrain toward Metairie, then hopped on the I-10 expressway from Metairie to Kenner. At home, I filled up a empty bottle with water and decided to go for a walk. I walked down my street, then at the intersection, I took a right to another street next to mine and walked down that street. At another intersection, I walked past my street and down another street, where I walked some more, then headed home, showered, ate, watched "Pardon The Interruption" and "SportsCenter" on ESPN and my local CBS news.

Tonight, I'm going to play some Madden NFL football on my computer for a little bit, then watch some television. Tomorrow begins a brand new day.

Middle of The Week Business

T.G.I.W.: Thank God It's Wednesday - and that means that I have to go through Thursday at New Orleans U (U.N.O), and, my college week ends. My morning began by attempting to do my Trigonometry homework, but, our professor, who might be as old as dirt, never taught us how to do half. So, tomorrow's class should be fun. "Turn in your homework" he'll say. And, I'll look at him and say, "I didn't do it because you didn't teach me how." I wouldn't be surprised if he forgets our names.

Kristin never came, and neither did Shelly, but I assume since Kristin lives next to campus, she probably slept, and Shelly doesn't have a class in the morning. So, I just read the Times-Picayune. Bush didn't make any mention of Hurricane Katrina. Did he forget about Katrina? Probably. But, oh well. Mississippi made a deal with State Farm to give homeowners money. Good for them, bad for Louisiana, because our governor is a piece of shit. Just an opinion, may or may not be fact.

I went to my Major American Writers class. My professor is cool. She doesn't mind if we have the book. My book is coming in the mail by the end of the week, so, I used printed off paper of the poems for class (Anne Bradstreet poems) from the Internet. Man, that Anne Bradstreet talks a lot about sex and getting it on, and that her love for her husband is better than any woman's love for their husband.

After that, I had to walk cross campus to my Biology class. We talked about polysaccharides and trans fat and cholesterol and calories. She's a good teacher. Little boring, but, it's Biology. What do you expect?

Lunch time! Salad with baked Lays. The salad has tomatoes, lettuce, lite ranch, turkey, and roast beef. What a healthy lunch. And, the bake Lays and crackers helped me fill up. I checked my e-mail in one of the computer labs on campus and then went to my Biology lab class. My partner and I worked with microscopes. It was a good class. My partner and I were the last ones to leave the class.

I drove home to the sounds of my IPod Nano. Thursday will be another day. Up by 6:30 A.M. Out the door and on my way to class by 7 A.M. Eat a small breakfast and read "Why Nations Go To War" for my Political Science Class. I leave the University Center and walk to the Liberal Arts Center for my Political Science class (Conflict And Resolution).

Break from 11-12:15. At 12:15 P.M., I take my seat in my Macroeconomics class. The professor is super-cool. Her notes are on Blackboard, so, people might not come to class. I just might not come one day. After that is my hated class-Trigonometry. Then I go home.
